Hi Andrew,
Thank you for a beautiful letter from you. Honestly, I have never received anything so
beautifully written so far. When I read it, it warmed my heart, and one dark corner of my
heart actually got brighten up.
I went through quite a difficult period (at that time, I thought it was difficult) in my
life last year (I thought it was bad and the thoughts of giving up life has occurred
several times... I told a close friend that I was very tired and he said this: take each
second as it comes... go slow...), anyway, I have thought of ending it all. If I have done
it, I would never meet you, someone who is charming, who touched me deeply, someone who I
can share lots of things with. And definitely someone whom I want to know more and shares
ups and downs with.
I've read from somewhere that for every bad thing that happened to you, a good thing is on
the way or a good thing has already arrived at your "doorstep". I thank GOD for
letting me know you and I will always treasure it. I read this article in PIONEER magazine
(Pioneer magazine is magazine for the NSmen or sometimes they are called reservist).
Inside, it featured an article by David Lee. He was born deaf, failed his "O"
levels twice, went to ITE and recently he graduated with a Second Upper Class Honours
degree and he said this beautifulverse: Life is what you make of it! I was touched and
cried by what he said and what he has gone through in his life. He is 27 years old now and
is currently working as a mechanical and electrical engineer.
Yeah.. life is what you make of it... and we are going to make the best of it, right?!
I went to Chinatown this afternoon with my sister, the crowd is unbelievable, things are
cheaper, having a good time with my sister. However, you keep coming into my mind, and I
keep thinking how nice it would be if we could share it together. Silly, am I not?! Hope
you don't laugh. In a short while, we will be having our reunion dinner. I hope you have a
good dinner and a great time with your father. You know something, when you said that you
are going to cook, I think that it is the most "romantic" thing that you could
do for your loved ones.
Before I go, Happy Lunar New year to you and have a great time.
Always,
Mag
